Our Story

  • In the crisp fall of 2023, a simple family visit to Newfoundland blossomed into the seed of an idea that would soon grow into the Come From Away - Founders Club. Our familial roots in Newfoundland stretch back to 1795, when our ancestors settled in Grand Falls. Through centuries, our family's presence has flourished, spreading across Canada, the United States, and beyond. Yet, no matter where in the world we found ourselves, the unmistakable spirit of Newfoundland always seemed to follow, revealed in a phrase, a word, a tone that unmistakably belonged to the Rock.

  • This universal connection among Newfoundlanders, discovered in far-flung corners of the globe, inspired us to create something tangible that could encapsulate the essence of our homeland's spirit. With recent statistics indicating that approximately 1 in 44 children are born with some degree of autism, it's imperative that we contribute to education, training, and fostering community understanding and acceptance.
